Marilyn “Joanie” DiSano always had an open-door policy in her home. No matter who walked through her door there would always be a seat at the table. Joanie embodied kindness, humor, acceptance, and love in every aspect of her life. Her supportive and joyful spirit is what we hope to emulate to every person who walks through our door. Joanie’s Place serves as a safe space for LGBTQIA+ youth to connect with each other, access resources, and be celebrated for who they are. Everyone is welcome here.
Joanie's Place has designated clinicians who specialize and are trained in working with LGBTQIA+ people. We service children and adults through individual counseling services.
